I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
